You may have a few options depending on circumstances.

One option would be to convert your status to a closed work permit. To obtain a work permit you'll first need to find an employer who is willing to offer you a full time job. That employer will then have to obtain an approved LMIA (permission to hire a foreign worker). You can expect the LMIA process to take a few months and cost the employer $1,000. Once the LMIA is approved you would then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer. Once the work permit is approved - you would be able to start working.

It may also be possible for you to obtain some sort of status through the person you are in a committed relationship with. But to answer this question we'll need to know what that person's status is in Canada, if you've been living with them - and if so, for how long.

Just to add - if you tell us where you are from (what passport you hold) - it's possible there may be other options.
