I have been married to my wife, a US citizen since 1997. We lived together in the US from 1997-2005, then left on my own following a Green Card DENIAL from the INS in 2001; instead they sent me a 3 sentences letter asking me to leave, due to unsubstantial & minor reasons (Misdemeanors charges that were dropped). Until this day, I don't know if I was denied cause I was an Arab/Muslim or what else...

At that time US immigration were having a long waiting time for processing, 48 months which then discouraged me to re-apply and since it felt after 09/11, I lost all hopes towards the US governement and immigration. So in 2005, after being home sick and away from my family for over a decade… I decided to go back to my home country (Morocco) . Last year, my wife finally rejoined me and we just had two beautiful twin girls of 4 months, here in Morocco.

Anyways I need to know if anyone can advise us please:
1. What will be the odds if we applied to Canada on a family based immigration. I am a chef by trade, and my wife is an ESL (English as second language)?
2. What is the best way to get a job, through an agency, or directly with an employer?

Thank you in advance for anything that you can help me with… It will be nice to get back to a more civilised world and have our kids grow up in it

Sincerly

1. Is either you or your wife a Canadian citizen or permanent resident?

You may be able to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker (Chef) if you meet the criteria and have the available settlement funds or if you are able to get an Approved Employment Offer. You should check out the forum for Federal Skilled Workers.

But I readt through alot of employement, and none of them seem to have jobs opened for overseas workers. How do you an Approved Employment Offer???
