My job positions in one company were a bit different in the last 10 years, although the responsibilities were quite related to each other. This makes the choice of the right NOC hard.
I need your qualified advice in order not to be rejected and, probably, to get a PNP nomination without a job offer.
1. Which NOC should I choose accordingly to my Reference Letter: 2281 or 2147? Or maybe even 2171?
2. Should I post different NOC for different positions? I think I will lose CRS in this case because of the reduced years of experience for each NOC.
3. If I choose the NOC 2147, I will be able to receive an invitation without a job offer through the Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. Should I change it in my EE profile before my upcoming birthday to have a higher chance to receive a nomination?
My case:
I created my first EE profile in summer 2019 with the NOC 2147. I chose this one based on my Master's degree and the titles of my job positions. I hadn't known about the NOC 2281 with a more detailed description before the 12th of October.
On the 12th of October, I passed the IELTS exam and updated my EE profile, which gave me the increase of the CRS up to 462. I also got my Reference Letter and learnt about NOC 2281. I decided to change the NOC from 2147 to 2281 because I found it more suitable to my experience. This made my EE profile ineligible - the website checking system was not perfect. I just changed the NOC in the Work experience section but did not in the Occupation section, and my EE profile became ineligible. The website support team wrote to me that I had to create a new EE profile (with a lower position in the queue).
The next day I created my new EE profile with the NOC 2281. I haven't been selected yet due to the pretty high minimum CRS these months. I updated my profile on the 25th of December (added interesting Provinces).
