I'm going to study in Quebec exactly the university of Trois-Rivières and I can understand French, but I'm not great at speaking French and I heard that the immigration officers are rough so what do you advise me guys should I just speak English even if my admission to the university is in French, BTW: I took the university french test online and got b2 so I don't have to go through a preparatory year in French and it's written in the admission letter.

any advice can help thanks guys.

Immigration will serve you in either official languages. Your choice .
They can’t force you to speak French
If you respond to Bonjour with a Hello
That’s there sign they’ll serve you in English
Hopefully you’re aware that region of Quebec is predominantly French . That meaning some individuals only language is French.
It’s not Montreal

Not sure I understand. You have your CAQ and study permit and you are worried that when you enter Canada officers will give you a hard time (Rough)? They shouldn’t be as English and French are the official languages. You can speak English only...not an issue.

I heard from other students who went through and they said that they are giving people a hard time, and even deporting some, I just want to know if I can speak in English even if my studies are in French.

Canada is a bilingual country so there should be no way issues. You are moving to a predominantly francophone area so do not expect English being spoken.

I know, I was just checking if I can speak in English to the officer even though my program is in French, I'm not excepting that everyone in Quebec speaks English.

That won’t even be a issue. If your POE is Montreal they’ll more than likely greet you first in French . You respond in English
Not a issue as mentioned

They may ask you to speak French to make sure there is no fraud involved and that you are actually capable of studying in French.
