I moved, so I can't receive my study permit anymore.What do I do?

Hi, there

Please help me!!!!! I moved, so I can't receive my study permit anymore. I tried to change my address online before my document became valid. However, I didn't receive any emails from CIC. And I tried to call them, but no one picked up. I wonder if it is possible that I can get a new copy of it when I go to local immigration office?

Please help me, if someone knows what to do. I'm leaving in two weeks, and I really need that.

You think so? Cuz I'm really confused now. Or can I just go to immigration office, tell them the situation?

If the study permit is already in the mail, then nothing can help and you just have to collect it yourself. But if the permit is only printed but not sent out, then Canada post could catch it and forward it to your new address

You can't just go to an office, they would not let you in the door. You can call their help line, the agent might be able to confirm mailing address. Sometimes CIC just never confirm you small changes like that

Ok, what if the person who got my mail, he tossed it or lost it. Can I ask them to send me another?( I know if just didn't receive it, we have to wait 6 weeks before they can take any actions)

if you are told that you have been approved and not receiving in a few weeks, yes you can ask CIC to send again
