I had hepatitis A which is not the serious type when I was 8 years old. It is the most common one. Must I still list it in the application

Thank you.

I do not have it anymore. However, if the doctor asks me if I had any kind of disease in the past, I can't say I did not. However, when you had hepatitis of any kind and if you are well, they can still find out what kind of hepatitis you had in the past. I guess it can still show you had it. Mine was when I was 8 years old. It was treated and cured. I never had anything else after that. If I list it, can I jeopardize my application just because I mentioned it?

Thanks.

hi..

If it was hepatitis A you need not worry and can omit mentioning it.

But if you were Hepatitis B and especially if you are in the carrier state. It will come in the tests even if you had it 8 years back.

1........You must be having the documents/ medical records.............recheck them just to be sure.

2............if you have lost them and are unsure which type of hepatitis you had just go to any doc and say you want to get a liver function test done. If it is normal then dont mention you past hepatitis at all.

hope that should help
