I have Open Work Permit but never entered Canada

Dear all

My husband and I were planning to move to Canada in 2011. He got a job in Canada and was issued a WP. Being a wife I was issued an open work permit.
Later we decided against the move to Canada hence we have never entered Canada.
My WP is valid till 2014. Now my company wants to send me to Canada for an assignment, can I use this WP for the same? Or do I have to apply for a fresh WP.

No, as your spouse is not working in Canada. You need a new one.
