I have 2 Application.How will I cancel the other Application?

I have 2 applications. First is the Skilled worker Category which takes too long to process and the second one is Provincial Nominee Category which is almost close to fininsh..I want to Cancel the Skilled Worker Category in favour of Provincial Nominee Category as the Canada office in Manila ask me to..What should I do to withdraw it? Should I just send a letter of confirmation to Canada Manila Ofiice that I am withdrawing my application for Skilled Worker Category? Or is there any other way around? Please Help. Thanks!
