hi guys

I just got my FBI clearance today. It took approximately 9 weeks

For those who are interested: I'm in the US, I used a finger-printing service provider, I used a cashier's check to pay for them, I mailed it on 15-April-2010, FBI Office received it on 19-April-2010, I indicated on the envelope that I needed it for Canadian immigration but I didn't write down the date-needed information on the form.

I hope this information will help others with their FBI clearance applications.

hi

did you use a form where you indicated that you needed it for Canadian Immigration?
would you know if I can use a Bank of America debit card instead on a cashie's check?

Thanks

Since I used a finger printing service provider, I just told them that I needed an FBI clearance certificate and they immediately knew what form to use. On the form, there is a space where you can write down the purpose for the certificate.

The reason I used a cashier's check is because I get free cashier's check service from my bank. Not only that, I wasn't sure what form to use if I used a credit/debit card but I'm pretty sure that you can use your card for payment.

thanks guys...!
