Hello All,

I got approved for Canadian Express entry on October 14, 2020 and sent my passport to get stamped on September 5. But due to certain unexpected circumstances, i got marred on September 9. Now my landing deadline is March 06,2021. I am in USA.

What would i need to do to add her to the application? (First concern)

I am not sure if i am able to land in that date due to COVID border. Am in exempt status?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...s-covid19/immigration-applicants.html#expired
It says except US visa holder.
I am planning to do soft landing but it says do not come if you do not want to stay in Canada. So its very confusing.
Can someone explain if my end date is March 06 or it is extended due to above scenarios? (Second question)

Thanks,

Thanks,

You cannot land using the visa you have now. If you land, this will be misrepresentation and you'll never be able to sponsor your spouse.

You have to notify IRCC that you have gotten married and complete the paperwork to add your spouse to your application. Once IRCC processes all of this paperwork (including medical and PCCs), they will issue you a new COPR.

Thanks Scylla.

She is a US citizen and does not actually need to be added to the application unless absolutely necessary.

But i would like to somehow extend my landing date to Late spetember/october. If adding her would extend this, i will do it. If that does not make any sense, will COVID border closer automatically extend my landing date?

She does need to be added to the application, you don't have a choice. If you don't add her to the application, you will be asked at the border when you land if you are still single, and when you say "no," you will lose the ability to ever sponsor her. You will also be admitting not following IRCC requirements that you update your status; in rare circumstances, CBSA officers have even denied landing.
