Hello,
I just got the good news. I could get my ECA this week and that gave me enough point to get into the second drawg, after getting out of the first one for only 40points.

So, I got my invitation, I'm filling out my application and when it comes to my daughter, 3 years old, is saying Marital Status "Married" and I can't change it. It won't say "completed" until I do this part. What can I do? It's insane, she is only three years old, how come would she be married!?

Another thing, I haven't got a checklist with the document I need. Where can I get one?

And why did I get under FSW and not under CEC if I had the option?

Do I still have to do a proof of funds even I've been living and working in Canada for over two years?

I applied in 2012 to a IEC Visa and then to a LMO. What should I say to the UCI number? Do I have one of when I applied to those visas? Where can I see that?

Thanks!

I have the same problem for my 4y old, dunno how to fix it.

I wonder why did they invite us for fsw, we didn't have any points for education, and on one link it says the eca is not needed in that case, on another link it says if u apply under fsw it is mandatory.. If so,no way we can get it in 60 days.

I could fix the issue with my daughter. It's Married by default. You can change it under "Family Information" on the top.

Any one can help me on the other questions? I'm more worried about the UCI.

For family info, is there a separate pdf form or its just an online web form?

The UCI number is on any document that the Government issued. If you have your work permit, it's there, on your kid's Visitor Record is at the right upper part.

I can't fix the married thing....

The infos on the web are different. I don't know about the funds. But what concerns me is the ECA, as it says you don't need it if you don't want points, then it says for FSW it is mandatory... I wish I could choose between CEC and FSW...

I have the same issue. I was meeting both criteria of CEC and FSW...I have not a colllected points for my education through any ECA..neither i have my education done from Canada..nor I mentinoed that in my application anywhere..then y did I get invited under FSW and not CEC...

If we apply through FSW. We wil be mandated to provide ECA...which Idon't have...

Also there is no contact info of CIC to inform about this discrepancy...

I m wondering what made me eligible for FSW..any clue?

Any response appreciated..

Thanks,
Aarti

And no way we can get the assessment within the 60 days...

I'll try to call cic tomorrow.

They say on cic that if we get drawn, they will advise us under which program to apply. I believe there might br options...

First of all, it seems VERY weird that people that do not even meet the criteria for FSW (that is no ECA done, which is mandatory to qualify under FSW) are being invited to apply under FSW. So, this tells me that either the invitations are a glitch, or (a more likely situation) that they really meant to invite you under CEC and not FSW. Either way, I would contact them immediately to make sure.

Second, it does not usually take 60 days to do ECA. WES does it in less than a month on average if the degrees aren't too complicate, so it might be worth a try. But, since you all said that you didn't have ECA in the express entry profile, I don't think you will require it.

THis guy most likely will have trouble later when he / she applies. They are going to match with what was in the profile vs whats submitted.
He probably would have entered a dummy ECA number to proceed to next step during profile creation. That may be caught in the later stage.

If you've noticed, it's three people in this thread alone that are having this problem.

It's funny how ppl will go and accuse of submitting false information...
as Aarti21 said, never said anything about ECA, had 0 points for education both of us.

I agree with you. "This guy most likely will have trouble later when he / she apply for PR"

Don't want to get into any trouble later...that why raising this right way...

Morover I have 1 yr of Canadian experience therefore not done any ECA earlier..

Oh.. Ok..
So you got more than 12 months of CAN exp yet they invited you under FSW?
Would u mind telling ur profile a little bit.. how many points under which section etc...

Hi Just called CIC and the call center says ..they are not trained in Expres Entry system, so he doesnt not have any answers to why I am invited for FSW and not CEC.

Colorblind, Did you called CIC as well..please share your exp..

Thanks,
Aarti
