I get 2 emails already saying application updated but nothing changed!?!

Hi,

I'm having a sponsorship application (from outside) in process but I'm already in Canada and I'm waiting for a regular visitor visa to be approved. I already got two messages from CIC saying that my application was updated and I should log into my account. But when I log in there is no change. The date when the application was last updated didn't change either. Am I doing something wrong or is that very common?

I have read lots of like that here in forum, they receive letter from their visa office but their ecas has no change ..

It happened to me, too. I clicked on every possible button in my account and surprisingly found out that my visa was already approved. I can't remember which button I clicked though. If you didn't get a doc request you should be approved already and your visa will soon arrive by snail mail

on line status is not updated regularly by some case worker.so that is why you did not see on line any change in your e-case ,it doesn't matter. if you have received e-mail or letter from cic it is good sign , but donot worry about e-case change. best of luck. my one friend,s case is on line shows that your application have been received but actually his case has been finalized few months ago and he is succeed .

Applying for a visitor visa has nothing to do with ecas. It's done via MyCIC account which is totally different.

Log into your MyCIC account and click on your application. There must be one button which shows you the status of your app. I received 4 emails until I found what had changed and the date when they last updated it never changed either.

Everything will be fine. Your tourist visa will arrive in 1-2 weeks by mail. You have implied status now
