i did not reapply for OHIP after returning to Canada early last year, do i have to reapply? when will it take effect? immediately after reapplication?

i used to have valid OHIP but i left canada for 1 year.
then i returned to Canada early last year.
but i did not re-apply for OHIP and did not notify Service Ontario anything about my leaving.
do i have to re-apply for OHIP now? obviously i satisfy all residency obligation now, can it take effect immediately after my re-application?

When did you arrive in Ontario? Have you left Ontario for anytime between arriving and the 1 year?
