I applied for an OWP...received a work permit extension...is this normal?!

Hi guys,

Today I received the great news that my application has been accepted, I am now waiting for the paper work permit through the mail.

My question is as the title states...I applied for an open work permit (my common law partner is here as a full time international student. I am English). I have received a WP-EXT (new employer). Is this the same as OWP?

This is the first time I have applied for any work permit in Canada so I'm confused about the extension part...

Any help is appreciated!

Are u from visa exempt country ??

Are u from visa exempt country ??

Yes, from UK. I was also issued a new eTA at the same time as the work permit

May be that's by , It said "EXT" Means Exempt not extension .
