Hi there,

I feel like i may get rejection because i have put wrong date on my employment letter. What can i do to prevent rejection. I am legal work permit holder but because of misleading guidance i have made error. I read my IRCC ATIP documents and it doesn't look right.

I have created my express entry profile last year and got invitation through lowest CRS just low as 340 points for federal skilled trade which i assume neglected because of my psychological thoughts that CEC and skilled trade class both are same category.

Now, its been more than seven month after applied for PR through EE i still haven't got my PR and yes i have passed medical,Criminality but my work background check has been questioned by immigration officer that i have put down wrong dates on my employment letter and offer letter. Just to get qualify i have put wrong date( Four months earlier) to qualify which was lied because i have listen to my boss thats fine. However CIC caught me and say i only have 1 year and 7 months of experience which not qualify me for sure.

Now for the same work its been more then 2 years and i don't have no idea that what will be next. Will i get rejection just cause of unfaithful but legal documents of employment i have submitted . Technically it is been more than two years upto this day at my work.

I have two months to go while my work permit expired. And sure i could be an example of rejection for PR in Canada. Please tell me what you suggest me at this point. How can i solve the mistake i have made for processing my file>?

Thank you in advance .

Sorry to hear about your story. This does not sound good.
I sense that what you/your boss have done is called misrepresentation which has serious consequences. Your PR application will very likely be rejected because you didn’t have enough work experience for that specific ITA draw. Even though now you have already had 2yrs of experience. It does not count unless you receive a new ITA.

luckily, CIC has not made a final decision yet. You should write them a letter saying that you made a mistake in your document and will withdraw the application. You’d better find an immigration lawyer ASAP.

Hello Doge,

I have went through your link and it makes me regretful. I admitted i have made mistake but didn't do crime. My employer gave me a letter and i submitted in my file. I have been working hard to survive in this country with paying all taxes and without any criminal records. I finally realized after getting my ATIP that i have started working four months after the date listed on my offer letter. My Employer also admitted that he just randomly put down date without looking into my employment history.

All i can say i haven't done any crime just misleading information causing this. I am loyal to nation of Canada as long i do not harm the law of Canada, Thank you for your FYI.
