Hello.

I am applying to Canada through the Express Entry program. I am just waiting for my invitation to land in order to come and live there.

However, I have a gay partner which I haven't included on the application because we live in a country where same-sex marriage is not legal yet.

What is the best way to bring my partner to Canada?

My plan is that he comes as a tourist, and then once he reaches Canada we get married there.

Any thoughts or ideas? Remarks?

I appreciate all your help!

Do you live together? If so, have you lived together for at least one full year?

Answer scylla's questions, because if you answer in the affirmative, you can declare your partner as a dependent in your EE profile as common-law, even if same-sex marriage is not recognized in your country.

Yes. We've been living together for two years now.

It was a sudden decision more than a quick one because I discovered he's been cheating on me since day 1 and hiding it all. I read his phone messages and then I started contacting our friends and they all knew except me but they didn't want to tell me so that I don't get hurt and because they didn't want to interfere in the hope that he would stop.

Anyway, thanks a lot for all your replies. I will be strong.
