I am a Canadian resident I want to invite my common law partner to visit me in canada.
I am a Canadian permanent resident since 1992 in November 2011 I returned to my native country Mexico because my father was diagnosed with elzaihmers and needed adjustments to new life with this disease and I go back to mexico from canada to make that change more comfortable for my father's house, wheelchair etc. in January 2012 I met my common law partner in Mexico she is from same city as my parents live and from that date until June 1, 2013 we have lived as husband and wife. In June return to Ontario, Canada and got a job as head of maintenance on a 16-room hotel owners have asked that my wife and I work every day to manage the business being now August 4, 2013 through the month of February 2014 each year and paused from February to May each year the same contract.
My question is this,
1. Could I send an invitation to my wife as me been permanent resident of Canada, to come to canada to attend as hotel guest the grand opening event of the hotel? and what are the requirements.
in regards of my wife income...when we lived in our house in mexico she only attended home and do not have proof of income an now she has a prove of the money I send her via western union that I have done from canada since June 6, 2013, I send money to her name for our household expenses in mexico every Monday a total of $ 250 weekly.
OR....
I should get the job offer from my company for her and applied as working visa, which is the most advisable for her to not miss the grand opening event of the hotel where I work. thanks hope to hear from any one soon

It can be hard for a partner to get a visitor visa if CIC thinks that they may not return home after their visit. Does she have strong ties to Mexico? A child there, lots of family, a job she wants to return to, etc.? If not, she may be denied a visitor visa.

Is your employer willing to do an LMO to make her a job offer? If that is the case, a work visa certainly sounds like the most dependable route to take.

Are you just trying to get her to Canada for the grand opening event, or do you hope to sponsor her for permanent residency?

You can sponsor your partner to become a permanent resident of Canada. It will take about a year.

In the meantime, you can ask the hotel to try to get her a work permit. This may or may not be possible.

Depending on her qualifications, it may be possible for her to get a NAFTA (TLCAN) visa to work at the hotel. If she has the necessary qualifications, this will likely be an easier route than an LMO, which is what people from countries other than the US and Mexico would need.

Hotel manager is a recognized profession under NAFTA.

Hotel Manager: Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree in hotel/restaurant management; or Post-Secondary Diploma or Post-Secondary Certificate in hotel/restaurant management, and three years experience in hotel/restaurant management

Hi, we have a home in Mexico and two granchildren that my wife lookafter fulltime there in mexico, I will be back there in March for two months and come back to work from May 2014 until march 2015, I will have two months of for the season.

With strong ties to Mexico, such as the home and the grandchildren, she may be able to get a visitor visa. She would not be allowed to work in Canada while on a visitor visa, though.
