My Thai husband was refused a Tourist Visa twice while we were living in Thailand. Reasons given, they didn't believe that we would return to Thailand because of a)his financial situation b) his ties to family in Canada (that would mean me and our daughter). Both times he was refused a visa the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok told me to sponsor him. Now we have been living and working in Mongolia for 1 year trying to save money. I have a better job offer here for September and have 2 months free over the summer. In order to apply for a Canadian Visa the application must be sent from Mongolia to Beijing for processing. Do you think we should give it a go to try for the third time to get a visa for him to go just for the summer? Should he apply for a Single Entry or Multiple Entry? I am in the process of trying to fill out the Sponsorship Application but we are honestly just wanting to go for a visit. I could include my job offer here for September, our lease on our apartment here and other evidence to show that we are coming back.

I think this is not good.
it's much batter that you sponsor him coz they will deny TRV as they found wife live there and he will not come back which is many ppls do

So batter way is just sponsor him on PR Rather then waist Ur money in TRV fee

TRV fees really aren't all that much compared to sponsorship, especially if you're not looking to return to canada, it'd be a waste of money.... a sponsorship visa, when approved, needs to be used before the associated medicals expire (one year after they are done)... so if you have no intentions of leaving within that timeframe, sponsorship wouldn't be the answer

however from the sounds of it HIS circumstances may not have changed all that much... the job offer is for you, not him... unless he has had over one year of gainful employment, the leases ect are in his name and all your finances are in his accounts, he might not be successful... you could try again, trying to emphasise his attachment to you (his wife) and the steps you have made to establish yourself... also transfer whatever you can to his name before you apply... you can hope for the best... the fact that you've lived out there with him and have less and less ties to canada will help i think...

good luck

Dont even bother...even though it is not always the case...there are times that denial for a TRV can impact your PR...so if you plan to apply for future...do not apply for TRV.

He's already married to a Canadian, has a child with her, and has been living with her. TRV applications before marriage to a Canadian are red flags; afterwards, not so much.
You'd have to emphasize his ties to you and the child and the country you are going to live in - a lease, job offer and money in the bank are good. The lease should be joint, not just in the wife's name, though.
If you don't mind the expense, it may be worth trying. A PR application won't be approved in time for this summer's visit, and if granted will probably expire before you can use it. Plus the sponsor has to prove she will return to Canada, difficult to prove if that is not actually your plan.

His TRV will be always refused. You being canadian and wanting to come back and getting a visa for him will never fly.Put yourself in immigrations shoes the reason you are getting refused is because he does not have enough money to support himself here(reason if you kick him out in Canada he needs to support himself to get back home)He has no ties in his home country to come back to ( a house a child left behind an eldery parent he is taking care of).
And if you keep trying and later decide to sponsor him they will think its just another try to get him into the country and they will find it a marriage of convienence. And just because your married does not mean anytthing in the positive to get a visa neither does having a child.
And your child is canadian by decent you just need to apply for her citizenship.
The best thing you can do now is put in an app for his sponsorship of the PR.And then you have to prove you are going to re establish in Canada( a job offer here,a lease here,a home here, letters from family members stating you will stay with them untill you get a job and lease or home).
Also what you have honestly makes no differance its what he has to return home to (as they still think once you are here with himits easy to let a lease there go,its easy to walk away from a job there, and extra money will make no differance to wether he gets a visa or not)and there is no income requirement for a spousal app.
Hope this helps you decide what to do.

ir.... the wife has a job offer in mongola.. unless they moved it, i don't think they have immediate plans to return to canada for anything more than a visit... a PR application would be worthless at this time for them... a trv, while tricky, might not be impossible... when you apply, they say, if your situation changes, apply again... which is what they are doing...

i don't think it will directly impact a future PR application unless there are other red flags.... they've had a live-together marriage for years and will have an abundance of proof of that i'm sure...
