Hi I need some answers as I am new to this group. I am sponsoring my husband and right now we have sign stuatutory declaration that his daughter is non accompanying him to Canada they attach to our file and no further documents has been requested since they received but rather than now they asking to send a copy of her birth certificate/ registration. In the original declaration it stated that she has no known address and he does not have any ways of contact with her so she did not get medical done. What is it that we should ask for and what details we should provide to them due to the situation and the fact that the mother is not able to be contacted either? I need some answers please!

It would be much easier to get her to do the medical aNd get her information. Canada does not like to eliminate the opportunity for a child to eventually reunite with a parent.

I replied in another post. However I'll state it here as well. Depending on which country you are in. Either parent can apply for their child's birth certificate. Have him apply for it and he can have his own copy. As long as his name is on it he should have no issues in getting his own copy without any consent from the mother.
