husband is missing

I am a caregiver currently working in Canada. I will apply for my permanent residency after 2 years. I am married but my husband is missing and cannot be contacted even with his family. husband need to undergo a medical examination and police clearance but he cannot be found. Please help me. What can you advise for me to be able not to disapprove in my application.
