Hubs is awaiting pr,if he goes to India what visa's does he need?

my husband is awaiting pr, we have been approved but he doesnt have the pr yet, all he has is the work permit, if he wishes to go to India what Visa will he need for re-entry to Canada?? and what would I need to go and come back to India, I am a Canadian citizen....Please help us out!!

1. He would need a TRV (Temporary resident visa) if his has expired. He would have to apply for it at an overseas Canadian office.
2. You would need a visitor visa from the Indian Consulate unless you are of Indian origin, then there is a separate type of visa.
