how work experience is calculated in SCHEDULE 3

in SCHEDULE 3 .. 11. Your work experience

i have 2 occupation:

-one with 1 year & 8 months
-another one with 1 year & 5 months

in the check box next to each entry, i checked "1 year but less than 2 years"... therefore will they be counted as 2 years of experience or 3 years ?

in other words, do they count the commutative work experience .. or just add whatever years in the check box (example: 1 year but less than 2 years is counted as only 1 year)

Both are under same NOC or different one? don't worry.. IO would not consider only checked box, He/She will look into your given dates, ie. From/Till and count total period of work.

It goes by NOC codes and periods of employment. If it is 2 separate codes or same code with a break you lose those additional months and they won't add it up to a 3rd year of experience.

Hi,
I think they will count the cumulative work experience not just the check boxes.
I doubt if it has anything to do with the NOC code. As long as you meet the basic requirement (i.e. at least 1 year experience in one of the listed 38 jobs) you will get the rest of your experience counted no matter of the NOC code.

If both your NOC codes are eligible to get experience points ( Categ 0, A and B) then they will be added and you will get the experience points according to added duration
