How to travel to Canada without PR CARD? What are the options from going to USA?

Dear All
Can anyone highlight on the fact on how can someone enter without PR Card? Is it possible to get through just by showing the landing papers? Can we cross the Niagra border in bus without PR card ?

If you are visa exempt to go to Canada, you can cross with your landing papers. If you are not visa exempt, you can still do it if you are travelling by foot or by private car but if you are going with any kind of commercial carrier like a bus, they may not let you on the bus without knowing for certain that you have the proper visa to enter Canada. You could go to Niagara and enter on foot or you could rent a car and drive across the border but it is better that the car has Canadian plates. You should be able to rent a car with Canadian plates in the US near the border.
