Hello I'm a student currently studying in Canada. I have 3 questions:

1) If I send a visa renewal application while I forgot to mention a visa refusal in my original application, do I add it or do I ignore and send like my first application?

2) If I receive a PFL because of the visa refusal (years ago to attend an event, refused due to lack of funds as a student), can I respond with a positive ADHD diagnostic and blame my condition for the inattention error or would that make my case worse?

3) Is it safe to contact immigration lawyers about my case? I fear that they might snitch me to the authorities for a whistleblowing reward.

1) I would mention the refusal in your extension and include an LOE explaining that you forgot to mention this in your original application.
2) This is a hard question to answer. Have you been clinically diagnosed with ADHD and are on medication? Ideally you want to avoid a situation where you get a PFL since the outcomes are always very unknown once you do. Generally speaking, IRCC wants to see people take responsibility for their mistakes vs. blaming someone else or something else.
3) It is safe to consult with a lawyer.
