How to re-use the PNP nomination if express entry application is cancelled?

Hi, my express entry got selected and I applied for permanent residency. I had the nomination from BC PNP. after a few days my PR application was canceled and returned to me because of missing documents. Now I created a new express entry profile and selected that I have PNP nomination from BC but it shows that they are waiting for BC PNP to confirm this. Does anyone know how long this could take? and is this the right way of using my previous nomination (which is still valid for another 5 months) or should I request an extension?
