Get it written on Letter head of bank that your account contains XXXX FD amount which is solely yours only and it can be liquidated only.
Give the start date and maturity date of FD too.
if start date is within last 6 months then OINP might ask for proof of funds for FD. but currently you can go with letter from bank and FD copy attached.

No, For FD you dont need to give any letter for OINP. Just give the FD copies Notorised copy. FD can be en cashed anytime so its fine. There is no time frame given. It is given in Susketchwen not in OINP. Still you may consult others for this.

May be you are right, but in my country some type of FDs are time bound and they can not be encashed before maturity. That is why i talked about letter from Bank.

ok thats fine. I understand FD's can be cashed anytime the difference is if u withdraw earlier u just have a reduced interest rate by 1 % (India).In my FD from India it is mentioned in the FD itself about premature withdrawal.
