how to measure the length of working experience.

Hi,

I have a question regarding on how to measure the length of working experience.
I started working full time on 8/29/2018,do i have to work til 8/28/2018 to be counted as 2 years working experience, if my working hours has already passed 3120(1560*2).
Since my working permit is going to expire soon, which 8/28/2018. Am i able to working on that day, so that i can fulfill 2 years of working experience exactly.
Do i need to extend my work permit while i am waiting to be invited?

Hours beyond 30 per week are not counted. 2 years means 2 calendar years/24 months.

If you are full -time, you count the calendar time based on exact start and end dates; 52 weeks = 1 year. Definition of full-time is "30 or more" hours per week.

You only count hours if you are part-time, which by definition will take longer than one year to acquire the equivalent of one year of full-time experience.

Yes, you are authorized to work on that day, but you will be out of status on the next day. If you allow your status to expire, it is harder and more expensive to restore, and people who overstay can have their PR applications refused for that reason alone.

If you want to remain in the country legally and retain your eligibility for PR, then, yes, you need to apply to extend your permit, preferably before your current permit expires, so that you can legally continue to work. If your employer is willing to apply for a new LMIA for you and it is approved, you would be eligible for arranged employment points.
