It's an entirely different ball game when you're applying through marriage, a marriage of convenience is much easier than qualifying for common law.

Think about it for a moment from CIC's point of view, they receive your application and have to work out from it whether the relationship is genuine or not.

Interesting statement regarding pictures to prove you are in a genuine marriage or not. In my opinion pictures alone do not prove one way or the other whether the marriage is genuine or not. We were married for almost a yr before sending the application. Had alot of pictures of wedding, reception, honeymoon , guests. Pictures of our trip to Havana, Pictures of us playing pool, dining in resturants and cafes, Living together in a casa , making meals together, washing dishes, making the bed and me doing laundry. Pictures of us with my husbands friends. And last but certainly not least pictures of us holding our new grand child. Each labelled with names dates and occasion and location. We were denied a visa.

Reason? Relationship not genuine?

Reason denied they claim it is not genuine. My point is you had better have more than pictures to prove your marriage is genuine and then it is up to the interview agent in the end.
