how to invite parents to canada on grad ceremony

Hi,
I am not sure if there is any existing and relevant topic on this forum hence i am posting it here.
I have gradutaed in August this year. and i plan to invite my mother on my graduation in june 2015. could anyone please let me know what are the requirements. and specifically how much funds do i have to show for this

if you/they are from visa exempt country, they do not need to apply for visitor visa .
but have to purchase round trip tickets for both of them.

otherwise, they have to apply for TRV and provide funds, reason of visit (your graduation ) , round ticket etc.

normally ur college/university should give u a letter for inviting ur parents for graduation check with ur institution if they give such a letter
