My bf recently applied for TRV and it got refused. I knew not to mention his ties to me since I am in Canada. He got a letter of invitation from his cousin stating he will provide accommodation for him.
The refusal only mentioned purpose of visit and personal assets and financial status. He had said he's planning to be here for 40 days and his bank statement showed a little over $8000 USD. The letter also said if he can address these concerns then he's welcome to reapply. I know that usually letters say if things have significantly changed then they can apply again but that's not the case.

Any advice?

I would start by shortening his visit. Go for 2-3 weeks rather than 40 days.

Thanks!

Does his LOI need to be changed from his cousin? Of course dates on there would have to change reflecting new plans but what about who is responsible for the trip. Would it help if the cousin says he'll be responsible for everything minus airfare?

If this similar situation been discussed previously, can someone guide me to the post?
