How to get work permit, when on visitor visa ?

Hi All,

Is a person eligible to work in canada, if he just has a 6 month tourist visa. I would like to know what options are there, and how to apply for a work permit.
My parents are here temporarily and would like to know if they can apply for a work permit.

Only if they are able to secure a job offer with an employer in Canada and that employer is able to obtain an approved LMIA. Generally speaking, it's next to impossible to find employers willing to go through this process. But you can certainly try.

As visitors, their *wish* to apply for a work permit + earn salaries in Canada.... is unlikely to come true
