You can apply for PCC with in 90 days before your application to CIO. PCC is required for all members over 18.
If you are in India there are two ways of applying for PCC
1.) Apply to your passport office. If your passport is older than 6 months you need to deposit it and it takes about a month to get the PCC stamped.
2.) Apply to SSP office is prescribed format along with Passport copy and a chalan of Rs 20/-. The form can be found at
