Hello. I am planning to migrate to canada very soon with my boyfriend.

I am 18 years with no work experience, just completed Higher School Certificate. My boyfriend has studied only upto form 4 but he has many years of work experience such as factory supervisor, quality controller, driver of heavy weight vehicles, etc.

Can i know what type of jobs can we get in Canada?

Assuming you already qualified as an immigrant and the only thing thats needed is to book the plane ticket and physically come here. If you dont have any education you'll have to start with any odd job that is available, you may have to work for free in some cases. As far as your BF is concerned since he already worked in a factory he has a good chance of getting a job in a factory.

Your brother will need to read through the information here in detail to see if he qualifies to apply:

Hello new tone, thank u for ur reply. NO i have not yet been qualified as an immigrant and neither have i started my procedures. I posted here infact in the hope of getting details of the procedures to go to Canada. And also i had some questions like: What is the average monthly expenses for a household of 2people in Canada?

Canada is a big place so I will give you a break down of costs if you were living in Toronto

Monthly Rent: $1000 to $1200 for a descent place in a descent neighborhood
Transit cost: $120/monthly
Food/grocery: $300 to $350 monthly
Car ownership, insurance, gas and maintenance: $500/month
Misc expenses: $600/month

Grand Total $2220

its "decent" not descent.

I start appreciating Quebec more and more.
My monthly budget is:

Rent for furnished studio with bills included, close to downtown Montreal - 490 CAD
Internet, phone and mobile phone - 100 CAD
Public transport pass (subway+bus) - 77 CAD
Food - 300 CAD

Total - 967 CAD

Wow, just $490 for a furnished studio? Do you share it with someone else?

No, I never share anything with anyone :D

wow cant beat the rent , but bus pass is $62 here in SK
food , depends on how you prepare, may be less may be more

I could reduce my food bill by shopping at stores with frozen food packages, but I do not want to economize on my health. I am one of those people who believe that unhealthy food patterns end up in giant medical bills later in life.
My 77 $ pass is for subway and bus, so greater value for almost the same money ;D

Bus pass here in Mississauga is $120!!! And that's just to use in Mississauga transit...so if someone lives here and commutes to downtown Toronto every day, you need to buy a combined travel card for the entire GTA which is over $200 a month...ridiculous! No wonder people say that car is a necessity over here.

You just gave me an additional motivation to stay in Quebec and enjoy Its accessible life costs ;D
