How to extent or restore expired WP and PRV for new PNP nominee

I am in Canada, my WP expired, I am from the country which doesn't require visa to visit Canada. I also received my PNP nomination this week. What can i do to extend my expired WP \TRV? Can it be done at the port of entry? Or would it be better apply for restoration in Canada and wait until its done.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

You CAN'T do this at a POE. Apply for restoration. I hope it's less than 90 days since your WP expired?

My WP, LMIA exempt, expired two weeks ago as well as my common law partner (she had open WP).
Do we have to apply for restoration of the visitor status? what is our chances if we do flag-polling? We are from the visa exempt country.
