How to extend expired work permit

Hi guys
My friend needs help to extend work permit. He has Positive LMIA and work contract, job offer
We tried only but we end up questionnaire apply for TRV. On the document check list it is not asking LMIA or work contract or IMM5710
Can you please guys help us.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

If the work permit has already expired you will need to apply to restore your status in addition to extending the work permit.

If it has been more than 90 days since the work permit expired, then it is too late to restore your status from within Canada and you'll have to leave Canada and apply for a new work permit from outside of the country.
