Does anyone have any resources on how to deal with a spouse not being able to work while the application is being processed?

My wife is REALLY struggling with having to rely on me for everything and feels terrible from not being able to contribute.

A few ideas we've considered/tried:

- Starting an online small business which she can handle
- Working remotely for a company in our home country (not sure if this would be allowed)
- Volunteering - tricky now due to COVID
- Keep studying English at home - It's gotten boring after so many months of COVID lockdown

Any other suggestions/ideas/things that have worked for you/your spouse?

Thanks!!!

Working remotely for a company in your home country is absolutely fine provided it has no Canadian customers / clients. Same for the small online business. You cannot sell to people in Canada / Canadians.

Thanks! We'll definitely look into this. Not gonna be easy obviously with the current unemployment rates
