How to confirm the receipt of documents sent

I had sent my application forms, Draft & documents on 12.05.09 from India. Kindly guide how to know weather they have receipt it or not.

Hi,
If you have sent them through courier, you can track the packet number online. it normally shows the complete path and time. For regular post I have no specific idea.

any Idea ?

Two options...
Check frequently your bank for encashment of your DDs. (as you sent your documents on may 12, start checking say after 4th or 5th June)

OR

Wait for an acknowledgment from NS, normally take 30-40 days from the receipt of your docs in NS.

My friend had send the application from india through regular post on 11 may 2009
We r in the same boat, I will let u know when he gets something back
Let me know when u get any update

Why send through regular post and go through all this tension? It'll also take much more time time than courier, and to top it, you don't know if it'll reach safely either.
