How to check status of OWP

Hey all, just wondering if there is a number I can call to check the current status of my husband's OWP. He hasn't gotten his UCI number yet so I'm not sure if we can do it but just curious

You can link your OWP application to your online account (GCKey or Sign in Partner) using your husband's name and birth details. If it cannot be linked yet, the OWP application must not be in the system yet.

If he hasn't gotten his UCI number yet, they won't be working on the OWP app yet. They only start working on it once you get AOR. Since the PR application is required to make him eligible for the OWP, if the PR app gets sent back then they would have started processing the OWP for nothing, so that's why it works that way.

You weren't wrong, it's definitely possible to link the OWP app! It just is highly unlikely to work if they haven't gotten AOR yet

I've been getting told so many different things. Last I heard from someone is that it takes 4 months to receive OWP after they receive it, not after AOR

Yes, that is true. It does take 4 months after they receive it. What I said doesn't contradict that. They aren't processing it from day 1 when they receive your app, but they have internal timelines in place where they try to issue all OWPs within 4 months of app received.
