How to cancel IEC Application? I just received PPR on EE FSW PR

Hi all,

I just had amazing news. For my PR application, I have just received PPR (Passport Request (Or equivalent)) and I need to send some docs off as a final step.

But basically, now that PR is almost done, Im wondering should I just cancel my IEC application? If I do it before Port of Entry letter is issued, then CIC says I get a full refund.

But how do I cancel the IEC, and how do I make sure they dont accidentally cancel my PR application instead?

Both applications must have a different file number

Yep they both have different application numbers.

For others coming across this topic, CIC has instructions on their website on how to cancel, and if done before PoE, then you can get a full refund.

So I included the IEC work permit application number in my request, and made it clear it was because I have received PPR on my Express Entry FSW, and to make sure only the IEC is cancelled, not the PR application.
