How to call CPCM from overseas?

Hi All,

I am in Thailand and need to call the CIC Processing Centre in Mississauga regarding the letter they sent me.
Does anyone know a way to call them from outside Canada as the toll-free 1-888-242-2100 doesn't work from here?

I called the Bangkok and Singapore embassies but they were no help telling me I should contact the CPCM as they still hold my file.

Please don't tell me that the only way is by postal mail.

I am sure this has been raised before but I am re-asking the question again.

Has anyone tried using Skype or Gizmo to call 1-888 numbers?
(Mississauga toll-free 1-888-242-2100)

- sorry - this is starting to get slightly off the topic, but I am trying to looking for solutions beside flying back to Canada!

Can you get someone in Canada to call for you? A friend or relative?

Well I do, but I didn't put anyone for use of a representative. I don't think that they will talk about my case to someone else than me or my wife. Do you think so? I'm installing all skype and gizmo today. I will lt you guys now.

Ok, it was a good idea, but I was unsuccessful calling the CIC Toll Free 888 number from Gizmo5. I haven't tried with Skype but I read it wasn't working as some 888 refuse to take a call from outside Canada.

I got a voice recording "Sorry, the number you have called can not be reached from your calling area".

Do you think they are going to reply by fax? (no, I'm not joking)
 
Try this...I just searched it online and actually haven't tried it myself, but it seems like it might be a way around the issue. The number is 1-613-944-4000 THen there is an option on there for Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This is me relating what I found online, hope it works. I'm going to try it myself this evening. Good luck!
