Hi,
1) I understand that half a day in canada is considered as one full day in Canada in the counting of the 730 days for PR renewal. Example, if my date of landing is on 17 Nov 2009 and I left Canada on 2 Dec 2009, 17 Nov 2009 is counted as 1 day and 3 Dec 2009 is counted as another day? So in total it is 2 days. I just need to confirm this.
2) if I leave Canada on 1 Aug 2014 to US and come back on the same day which is 1 Aug 2014, it is still counted as 1 day?
3) My date of landing is 17 November 2009 and my date of expiry of my PR card is 4 Dec 2014, do I start counting from 17 Nov 2009 to the 730 days or I count backwards 730 days from 4 Dec 2014?
4) My date of landing is 17 Nov 2009 and I left Canada on 2 Dec 2009 to go back to my hometown in which I stayed for 3 years until 14 June 2012 which I came back to canada to settle down. During my 3 years absence from Canada I travelled to many places from my hometown, mostly, on 1-2 weeks vacation.
How do I fill up the table under section 21 'travel history', page 2 of the PR renewal/application form which is actually the absences from Canada?
So which date should I put in under 'from' column to be assesssed'? Should it be 17 Nov 2009?
And which date should I put in for the 'to' column?
Do i need to list down all the 1-2 weeks trips that I took from my home country and count the number of days of those trips or I can just put as follows :
From: 3 Dec 2009 (the day I am not in canada since I left canada on 2 Dec 2009)
To : 13 June 2012 (the date I arrived in Canada is 14 June 2009)
Your location during your absence(city, country) : Singapore/Hong Kong/China/Malaysia
Reason for absence : Residing in Singapore and Vacation
Number of days : 924 days
5) is it correct that I should count my absence starting from 3 Dec 2009 to 13 June 2012? (2 Dec is still counted as 1 day in Canada even though I depart from Canada back to my home country on that day and 14 June 2012 is the date that I came back to settle in Canada)
6) under section 19 of the PR renewal form, I am suppose to list down my address history. I just need to list down my residential address for the last 5 years, right? I do not need to list down the addresses of the places I have been on vacation, right? i just need to confirm this.
Thanks very much for your help.
