Hi
I want to submit an application for my mother to be granted the supervisa. She is at this moment here in Canada with me. But I do not know which appliation to submit, I just found the one done from outside Canada. But should I follow the one to extend her stay or is there a specific one?

Hoping to hear from someone on this same situatuion soon.

As per my understanding applying for extension of existing visitor visa may not qualify for Super Visa. The applicant has to submit the papers outside Canada in the country of their residence. A fresh application is necessary.

Check the CIC link:

They can apply for an extension from within Canada. The application would be sent to Vegreville.

"If parents and grandparents are already in Canada and their visa will be expiring soon, what should they do? Will they be eligible to renew their status from in Canada?

The visa itself is valid for up to 10 years and allows holders to remain in Canada for up to two years at a time. Renewals must be done from outside Canada at a visa office. However, parents and grandparents who hold a valid visa can apply for an extension of their status for up to two years by submitting an application to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta, as long as they meet all the criteria. These applications will be examined on a case by case basis."

Thank you very much for your response. It really helped. But does anyone know which application to submit to Alberta? Is it the one to extend a stay?
