My work permit in Canada expires in a few days and I have applied for a Visitor Record in order to remain in Canada while I wait for an ITA for permanent residence (waiting on a CEC draw.)
I would like to be able to leave Canada and come back, but obviously a Visitor Record does not allow for that. Is there a way for me to apply for a TRV from within Canada in these circumstances? I will NOT have a valid work or study permit. I would like to avoid leaving Canada to apply, as I am not sure I will be able to re-enter Canada if I do.
Is this possible? Would it be possible if I did leave Canada? Would there be any reasonable way of me ensuring my re-entry to Canada if I did leave?
Thank you so much!
EDIT: My apologies - I did not notice that this is a sub-forum of "Moving to Canada from the US". I am NOT moving to Canada from the US, and am NOT a US citizen or resident.
