Hello All,

I need a bit of advise about Super visa. Let me explain my case:

Landed on PR with wife and kid on 03 October 2019.
Started working from 04 November 2019.

I want to apply for super visa for my parents. When can I apply for that?

As per CIC website documents required are:
1. Letter of invitation (I can provide that)
2. Proof that household meets the minimum necessary income (higher than $53,402 for 5 people)
  • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4 for the most recent tax year (I will get T4 in February I guess. The question is, will 2 months salary as last year income be ok or do I need to wait for 1 full year T4?)
  • Employment letter including salary and date of hiring (I have/can get this)
  • Pay stubs (Can provide this)
  • Bank statements ( Can provide this)
3. Proof of payment for medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry at least $100,000 coverage (I will buy one)

4. A document confirming that you had an immigration medical exam (Parents will get this once they apply for super visa)

Just to summarise: When can I apply for super visa for my parents? Will T4 of 2 months, employment letter and bank statements be enough?

Many Thanks.

One year atleast. NOA is required, without that its hard to prove that you meet LICO

Is NOA must? Requirement says NOA or T4. Can't employer letter mentioning my salary and pay stubs be used to determine my eligibility for LICO.

Probably 2021 then to apply given your timeline so maybe you need to look at a TRV if desperate for your parents to visit.

Once you have earned the amount in Canada you may be able to get away with a combination of NOA and other salary records. You are still waiting around a year. Would encourage you to delay applying a TRV until you are a bit more established. Applying so soon looks like they may want to live with you and not visit for 2 weeks.
