hi,my husband will evenutally land in quebec as skilled worker, i am a non accompanying family member, i would like to know how soon afer landing he can he start the application. adding me now would take too much time as i would need to get my own cerificat de selection du quebec, and this can take years, please share your knowledge with me.

First off... has your husband declared you on his application? He stated he's married, right? If not, it could mean trouble and he could very well be unable to sponsor you, ever.

In theory though, he can apply to sponsor a spouse as soon as he lands.

If your husband was granted the PR visa as a single man and he goes and lands in Canada as a single man without adding you as his wife, he will be barred from ever sponsoring you in the future. If he listed you as a non-accompanying dependent, he can start sponsorship as soon as he lands as a PR. If he didn't list you at all, he needs to add you to his application now, before he lands.

thank you. he did declare me as his non accompanying wife, so they know he is married but He was not married when he got the certificat de selection from quebec. does he have to declare to quebec government also that he is married before landing? Thank you a lot for your answers. I hope I will be able to help people too, from my own experience

I don't know how it works with Quebec. He would have to ask Quebec immigration. In any case, he will need to get you Quebec approval if he sponsors you.
