I want to sponsor my parents on PR and I was wondering how the sponsorship works?
I was reading IRCC/CIC website to find the information and I get an idea but I have a little bit of confusion and I am pretty sure you guys can help me.
As I know, CIC implemented a lottery system to pick up the applicants under PGP.
So let's say if I meet the requirement of sponsors such as meet income requirement of three years, PR in Canada etc and I apply in 2018 whenever CIC will reopen the pool and If I get invited? Will I apply PR or do I need to apply sponsorship letter first and once it gets approved then I will apply for their PR?
How does this thing work?
what is the average processing time? I checked on CIC website and they said they are working on Jan 2014 application. is that usually takes 3 to 4 years?
