How often does eCas update? Like, do they update everyday? Only on certain days? Do they update several times a day? I mean I have been checking mine about 5 times a day.... Im tired of not knowing when things are going to happen, but at least if I know they only update on certain days and times, then maybe I would stop checking so much..... im a little impatient as you can see.... this wait is driving me mental

The website states it's updated once a week on a Tuesday but many people report ecas updating at various times during the week and sometimes at weekends.

I know it's frustrating but try not to check too many times otherwise it drives your crazy, I tried to check once every few days!

lol thanks for that, its obvi a typo

From what I've seen although it says it updates on a certain day, many have had updates on weekends and at other random times. I think it's very fair to say that ECAS updates when it updates and not a moment sooner lol ;D I know it can drive a person crazy though, but it is kind of nice to know that when you pass the day that they are supposed to update it doesn't really mean anything or that the week is lost, and you can still get news at anytime or on weekends too 8)

Yes! I've received emails from them on a Saturday giving me info on my SA before it was updated online. This is so slow and frustrating.

I received my UCI on Saturday, and I've been feeling the lure of repeated checking. However, I have an extended skillset and rather than checking manually, I would set-up a program that would login and check for changes on a regular basis (a possibly settings option), and then notify me when there was a change from before. The cost-benefit ratio isn't high enough for me to do it just for myself, but if other people were willing to support the project (clicking ads or paying/donating), then it would probably be worthwhile.

Is there any interest in something like that?

If you are interested, is there a preference for Windows, Android, or iOS?

Yes I hear ya it is slow :( You should check for a thread that deals with your visa office to see what others are experiencing for time lines etc.. Judging by your timeline from your profile as a Dec/2014 applicant I'd say you still have a ways to go.. I'm a Sept applicant so three month longer than you and we are just getting some news here and there, different visa office than you though..

I wish you a faster time frame and lots of luck, but I've learned that anyone who has decided to go through this process must be ready and prepared for lots and lots and lots of hurry up and wait :'(

You'll get there don't worry 8)

EDIT: Oh I see that you have seen your specific visa thread.. Unfortunately some of the visa offices have slowed down and time frames have gone up, same for us with Ottawa..

Yeah, a lot of people were getting news within 4 months, and we are around that mark now, and i thought it would be a good thing for me, but unfortunately now it just feels like false hope

When my wife and I first sent our application off there was good hope to think 5-7 months should do it, now it's more rational to think it will be around 8-10 months. All a person can do is wait unfortunately and maybe order your notes if you'd like to see if anything has been happening with your file..

Yes ordering the GCMS notes is good, it also gives you a bit of piece of mind that they are actually working on it. For us ordering our notes I found helped to bring the stress levels down a bit during the process.

Chris.

It's been done before - https://ecas.carroll.org.uk

I don't think it works anymore though. I tried entering my details and it didn't work, but I was not interested enough to bother following up with the author.

Maybe drop him a line before you start from scratch.
