How my wife's Pregnancy would affect my Job and PR Application?

Hi All,

I have a question regarding my current situation and wanted to see if that is going to affect my PR application.

I work in California on H1b and recently got a job in Toronto. The Company filed LMIA for me, and I applied for PR in the express entry. I received an ITA on May 1st, and I'm in the process of submitting all the docs for PR. Meanwhile, my employer in Canada is applying for my Work permit, and I might get the work visa soon. The thing is me and my wife learned about her pregnancy recently, and she can't get her X-ray done which will make her medical report incomplete. I found out that the IRCC puts your application on hold in such cases.

Now, once we get the work visa, we will be able to travel to Canada. So my questions are;

1. Will crossing border when your application is in the process affects the approval?

2. What if my IELTS score expires when my application is on hold?

3. I have PCC from Indian Embassy dated June 2018, is it still valid for submission, even though I resided for four months in India between the PCC granted to date and now?

1. no in your case dual intent will be visible anyway. Worse case scenario is a difficult interview on borders.
2. All your documents except of your medicals will freeze date on the date of your AOR (regardless how long they will take to deal with you). In other words, the only thing you might need to redo is Medical if the process will take too long.
