How much time to submit passport once there's a notice that student permit/visa is approved?

Hi guys.

I'm submitting my study visa application on April 12. I'm leaving for a vacation out of the country on April 28-May 18. Just in case I get notification that my application is approved, how much time do I have to submit my passport to the Visa office? I'm wondering if I get the notification while I'm out of the country if I have time to fo it when I get back.

You are usually given 30 days. However, it is possible to ask for an extension if you aren't in a position to send the passport immediately.
