I have done masters through distance education ( 2 years ) from an accredited institution and have got points from that. If you are able to provide a detailed transcript and supporting documents you can get points , although there are conflicting viewpoints on this subject .

Send your degrees for assessment after checking if the university/institute is recognized by the assessment agency.
You get points for Distance Education and you claim points based on the assessment report.
For example, if your Masters degree obtained through distance mode is assessed as equivalent to Canadian Masters, you can claim:
